It was decided last minute that there would be a deadline extension to an annual poetry contest. I was asked to come up with a quick graphic that would announce the deadline extension, and so I used a gradient over a stock image of a desk with a focus on the word "extension". It was important to focus on that as the decision to move the deadline was last minute and we had to get the word out. 

 

While simple, it conveyed the message.
